adidas Skateboarding reveals the highly anticipated Matchcourt Slip x Na-kel Smith, the Pro team rider’s latest release with the brand. Preserving the popular silhouette’s court heritage, the Matchcourt Slip x Na-kel Smith is enhanced with features for skate performance.
Designed alongside Smith, his Matchcourt Slip is constructed of a full suede upper and prominently features embroidered roses in a vibrant red. Featuring a slip-on design with a nylon heel pull, the classic shoe maintains a rubber toe cap for increased durability and a grippy vulcanized outsole that emphasizes grip and board feel.
Na-kel Smith on his third signature colorway for adidas Skateboarding, “A hello to darker tones, and maybe more of a ‘see you later’ to the roses, three roses represent ‘The Brand with The Three Stripes’. The roses also represent where I am at putting out shoes with adidas, a bit of a tally mark.”
In regards to the understated signature detailing, “The reason I didn’t blast the ‘NAK’ embroidery across the roses is because I want to make shoes for everyone.”
The Matchcourt Slip x Na-kel Smith is available at specialty adidas retailers in the U.S. and the adidas Skateboarding website starting July 1. The Matchcourt Slip x Na-kel Smith will retail for $70.
