SICA, a leading Industry owned not-for-profit SPORTS INDUSTRY credit organization has launched a US based credit association in Burlington, VT. President and CEO Michel Hurd confirmed today that this US Credit Association will be headed by Chris Sherman, former Director of Credit at Burton Snowboards.
In making the announcement, Hurd said, “I’ve worked with Chris for over 15 years and on behalf of myself and our Board of Directors, I couldn’t be more pleased and confident with our decision to appoint Chris as President of SICA-US. Chris’ experience and professional relationships throughout the Action Sports Industry make him the ideal person to take SICA-US to the next level.”
Sherman added, “It is with great pleasure that I return to my roots in the Action Sports Credit Community. Michel and the entire SICA Canada Team have done an incredible job servicing SICA’s US member/brand base and I look forward to building on their success.”
SICA is a member owned non-profit credit association with over 500 members/brands providing unique risk assessment, credit scoring and information services in both the U.S. and Canada. SICA monitors over 4 billion dollars in members monthly in A/R dollars exposure. Members include Burton, North Face, Salomon, Rossignol, Nordica, Oakley, Keen, Under Armour, Head and Columbia to name a few.
