Saturday, December 21st – With Winter in full effect (as “full” as can be for Southern California), Burton Snowboards in Costa Mesa opened their doors for a night of booze-fueled fun. The party was to introduce the local scene to the new Burton Apparel Line created by Matt Ross’ apparel team that will be launching in the Fall of 2014.
With the help of Beer Savage and PBR, there was a seemingly endless amount of beer flowing all night. The babes behind the bar had their work cut out for them. RedBull provided some tasty “pick-me-up” beverages as well as the DJ for the night – DJ Dyphekta. Lights, lasers, smoke machines, music – this place made Vegas look like Chuck-E-Cheese’s.
Whether you were inside the belly of the beast, outside on the deck of Burton’s AirDream (a 1970 Airstream that’s fully reworked with fold-down deck, fire pit, and kegerator), getting your selfies on the snowmobile, or in line for the bathroom, the energy was at an all time high.
Altogether, the night was a blur that lasted until around 3 a.m. with the few last zombies still giving it their all on the dance floor.
