Travel deals are yielding mixed results in Hawaii, Australia

Travel deals for airfare and lodging are abundant, and that's showing up in some flattening in the decline of travel to and spending in important industry destinations such as Hawaii and Australia.

But it's a very mixed and volatile picture. For instance, Australia saw a slight uptick in January tourist arrivals, while Hawaii experienced another double-digit decline in February.
