Bob’s son, Ryan, introduced a video tribute to his father and called Bob “The most inspirational man in my life.” Hurley CEO Roger Wyett praised Bob’s love for people, his creative and intuitive thinking and his support and encouragement of young people.

Bob encourages many young minds and “has been doing it for 30 years,” Roger said.

Nike executives turned out in support of Bob, including CEO Mark Parker and VP of Design Sandy Bodecker.

Sally’s storied career in retail, where she has led several important companies including Talbots, Abercrombie & Fitch and Ann Taylor, was highlighted as well as one of her earlier decisions in a leadership position: she allowed women to wear pants to work.

In a short speech, Sally said she learned in her career in fashion to “always be on to the next.” She acknowledged PacSun has had a bumpy ride of late, but that the company is adapting, innovating and moving forward. She also thanked the Pac team for their “creativity, talent and courage. You are what is moving us forward,” she said.

Several speakers, including Sally, Roger and Otis President Samuel Hoi, acknowledged the passing of Dick Baker, and said kind words about him. Dick served on the Otis Board of Trustees and worked closely with the school.
