Zumiez bids for Active Ride Shop; outlines big plans for chain

<p>Active Ride Shop wants to sell substantially all of its assets to a wholly owned subsidiary of Zumiez, Inc. called Active Acquisition, Inc., according to court records.</p> <p>Zumiez CFO Trevor Lang declined to comment for this story.</p> <p>But documents filed in U.S. bankruptcy court outline an estimate of how much Zumiez is willing to pay for the chain, which stores it plans to keep open and how it plans to turn around Active, which saw a 46 percent decline in same-store sales in March, the court documents say.</p>
