<p>The North Face, along with Vans, has been a top-performing brand for VF Corp. during the recession, and I recently sat down with The North Face President Steve Rendle to find out how the company has stayed so high up the peak despite the economic climate. Many of The North Face's strategies can be applied to action sports companies.</p> <p>According to Rendle, The North Face has been growing at an annual rate of 23% per year for the last five years.</p>
