CIT was back in the news this week after delaying its quarterly filing as it works to restructure the company and avoid a bankruptcy filing.

I have been talking to industry customers of CIT about how they are handling the uncertainty surrounding the lender, whose factoring division is the dominant player in the apparel industry. I've also been asking executives what it means if CIT goes down.
