We asked Surf Expo Director Roy Turner for comment on the ASR situation and if Surf Expo has any plans to expand.
Â
Here’s what he had to say:
Â
“We view the underlying reasons for the business decision made by Nielsen Expositions to be unique to their particular situation. I certainly wish the very best for Andy Tompkins and his team.
Â
“I’d like to reiterate, however, that trade shows consistently return the highest marketing ROI and we will continue to produce events that exceed our clients’ expectations.
Â
“Surf Expo is in a growth mode and we are continuing to consider expansion opportunities in the U.S. and overseas.
Â
“Surf Expo’s sales and attendance have been on a steady uptick since January 2010. We’re on track to surpass our internal goals for the upcoming January 6-8 show.
Â
“Buyers and exhibitors are enthusiastic about Surf Expo. Because of this, we remain extremely optimistic about Surf Expo’s continued growth prospects.”
