A Temporary Pop-up Shop in Austin during SXSW from 3/9 to 3/18
Open noon to midnight at 313½ E. 6th Street
Austin, TX (March 2, 2012) – Deep in the heart of Austin during SXSW, Vulcanized Vinyl isn’t your typical music store. Partnering up with our friends at Austin’s top sneaker boutique and publishers of the most read sneaker site, Nice Kicks, the Vulc brings a wide selection of the Vans Classics you love and our premium California collection taking our shoes upscale.
Open daily from noon to midnight from March 9 through March 18, the store will carry a nice selection of tees, tanks and accessories including a limited edition Vulcanized Vinyl tee. Learn more at vans.com/sxsw.
For the first time EVER, Vans is re-issuing five of our most popular band shoe projects in a first come, first served offering from 3/13 to 3/17. Make sure you arrive early before store opening at noon so you can cop a pair of re-issues from Slayer (3/13), Descendents (3/14), Bad Religion (3/15), Iron Maiden (3/16) and Social Distortion (3/17).
As an added bonus to those who shop with us, we’re offering a “Concierge Service” and deliver your purchases to major hotels in Austin so you don’t have to trek from venue to venue with your goods.
We’re kicking off Vulcanized Vinyl’s opening with a bash on Friday, March 9 at The Lodge at 411. E. 6th Street from 7 to 10 pm with a BBQ and great music. Be one of the first 100 people to stop by the store that day to grab the hottest party ticket of the night.
