Press Release:

Costa Mesa, CA, August 29, 2012 – In celebration of 10 years providing a retail and dining campus mindful of environmentalism, The CAMP will host an afternoon Eco Fest of like-minded organizations, live music, interactive art, and FREE O.N.E. Coconut Water from noon to 3pm on Sunday, September 9th.

As Orange County’s only “green” retail campus, The CAMP pioneered many environmental firsts such as introducing indigenous landscaping, capturing all storm water on site, a grass roof, a yurt café, use of FSC certified wood in construction, herb boxes on site, a Community Supported Agriculture drop-off location, educational seminars and films, as well as an incredible selection of eco-friendly eats, goods and services.

On Sunday, September 9th, to help celebrate The CAMP’s green philosophy, OC Food Access Coalition will blend community art with fun food trivia in its “Share the Bounty” project, while Mesa Water hosts a booth on Water Use Efficiency and water-wise plants.

Naturalist for You will have its professional naturalists on hand connecting the public to nature and Canvas Shop will offer free personal art projects for those who want to get their creative juices flowing. Presenting sponsor South Coast Toyota of Costa Mesa will display the latest Prius models, and livening up the celebration will be bluegrass duo Moonsville Collective.

Guests can visit shops including SEED People’s Market, Pürre Bath & Body, Active Ride Shop, The Modern Dog, Viva Eclectico and Organic Designs by Aggelige, as well as the vast options for outdoor relaxing, drinks and dining.
