The Billabong group is hosting dealer meetings this week at the oceanfront Surf & Sand resort in Laguna Beach.

About 90 retailers will come through during the week in two groups to see fall lines from the Billabong family of brands, learn about new marketing initiatives and to spend some time with key brand executives.

Billabong is offering retailers yoga and boot camp classes in the mornings, and paddleboarding opportunities all day long.

The brands are spread out in different meeting rooms in the hotel to show the lines, and a marketing area hosts brand experience rooms to showcase each brand’s vibe.

Mark Tinkess, EVP at the Billabong Group, said it’s a great way to spend quality time with dealers and have comprehensive meetings that include not only sales people, but marketing and retail merchandisers as well.

Getting that kind of quality one-on-one time with retailers can be difficult to do at regular trade shows, when retailers are rushing from appointment to appointment.

The visits include lots of fun time at night, of course, including dinners at Mozambique with special musical guests.
