Today, Street League Skateboarding (SLS), in partnership with multiple civic, public and corporate partners, announced three weekends of its premier annual skateboarding competition, culminating with the SLS Super Crown World Championship: Jacksonville.
Tickets for the SLS Championship Tour will go on sale on Monday, July 26th. Following skateboarding’s Olympic debut in Tokyo, Street League’s hand-selected field of the world’s best street skateboarders will take the stage on three uniquely-designed skate plazas across the United States.
SLS CHAMPIONSHIP TOUR
- SLS Championship Tour: Salt Lake City& “Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert”: Friday, August 27th – Saturday August 28th (Utah State Fairgrounds)
- SLS Championship Tour: Miami: Friday, October 29th– Saturday October 30th (SkateBird Miami)
- SLS Super Crown Championship: Jacksonville: Saturday November 13th– Sunday November 14th(Jacksonville Landing)
In Salt Lake City, the free to the public, two-day weekend event kicks off at the Utah State Fairgrounds, and fans can be there live as SLS’ roster of elite skateboarders, including recent Olympians and 6-time SLS Champion Nyjah Huston, battle it out for the top spot and crucial SLS Super Crown Championship points. Additionally, in partnership with the Utah Sports Commission, Tony Hawk and Vans, will debut “Tony Hawk’s Vert Alert”, which will feature a “Legends Demo” and the biggest airs and most progressive tricks in vert skateboarding on Hawk’s state-of-the-art vert ramp.
In Miami, fans will have the opportunity to see one of skateboarding’s highly-anticipated, new skate parks, SkateBird Miami. The SLS Championship Tour will be the forthcoming venue’s first live event when the greatest skateboarders in the world flock to its intimate SLS-certified street plaza.
In Jacksonville, the SLS Super Crown World Championship weekend kicks off at the Jacksonville Landing on Saturday, November 13th, with preliminary round action and culminates on Sunday, November 14th crowning the 2021 men’s and women’s world champions.
