RVCA muse, model, and actress Camille Rowe’s style is an effortless hybrid of Parisian chic and California cool. After modeling for storied houses such as Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Chloe, and gracing fashion covers from Elle France to L’Officiel, as well as the silver screen, Camille Rowe is bringing her personal style to a series of collaborative collections with RVCA. Beginning Fall 2021, she and RVCA will release the first of two seasons of co-designed wears.
This multi-season collaboration, which will deliver limited edition pieces through Summer 2022, was born from her friendship with RVCA founder PM Tenore, who recognized her shared ethos of all things RVCA: contemporary art, and underground skate and surf culture. Together, they have designed a collection that’s pure RVCA lifestyle, with a Parisian twist. Rad? Oui.
“After years of knowing Camille there was a definite ease to working together,” said Tenore. “The collaboration was born out of all the things that we both love: art, clean lines and vintage details. Her distinct aesthetic shines through and offers a whole new take on the RVCA women’s line.”
“This collection is really my dream wardrobe: comfort but with a lot of attitude,” Rowe says. “I always keep a bit of a 60s/70s feel to the way I dress; PM saw the creative vision through, from the cords and little lace-up shorts to the suiting. It all seems to have manifested in a merger of classic French style meets modern California girl.”
Sartorial details evoke the stylish streets of Paris, with silhouettes, fabrics and flare that feel native to the laid- back lifestyle of shoreside California. Each piece is elevated and timeless, ready to cruise from cafe to art gallery via skateboard.
The collection has a vintage 70s feel, with a muted emerald and dusty ruby palette with pops of sunny yellow and orange. Flowy viscose crepe dresses feature retro flower prints and polka dots. Tailoring is clean and old- school cool, like in a green-and-white stripe suit with high waisted trousers and a single-breasted blazer that together make a must-have statement suit, and a longline corduroy blazer that gives off classic French vibes.
Soft lace-up fly corduroy shorts pair perfectly with cropped pointelle knitwear and graphic faux-branded skate tees. A cozy Café Sweater cardigan brings the ideal combination of pretty texture with relaxed fit, while knit tank dresses in deep blue and pale peach are one-and-done pieces that feel impossibly cool for day or night.
A cinch waist cotton eyelet tank has throwback flower power vibes, especially paired with cropped high waisted flare cords. With tights or denim, knee-high boots, or well-loved sandy sneakers, this collection has pure heart for Paris and California.
