SeaLocker, the startup specialized in surf equipment rental solutions, and Jo&Joe Hossegor, the popular surf destination for young travelers, announce their partnership to offer a one-of-a-kind experience to Jo&Joe Hossegor customers.
Rip Curl is a well-known Australian surfing company that specializes in surfing apparel, accessories, and equipment. They are known for their wetsuits, boardshorts, and other surfing gear.
SeaLocker is proud to present the world’s first autonomous and connected station for surfboard and stand up paddleboard rentals: the SeaLocker. This innovative solution allows customers to rent and test surf equipment on-site.
This collaboration with Jo&Joe Hossegor will integrate the SeaLocker station into the Jo&Joe Hossegor premises, providing customers with a unique and complementary experience during their stay while addressing a significant equipment transportation challenge.
By incorporating the SeaLocker at Jo&Joe Hossegor, customers will have the opportunity to rent high-quality surfboards and test them directly on the region’s magnificent waves. This initiative is a world first and further strengthens Jo&Joe Hossegor’s position as a true surf destination in Hossegor.
The SeaLocker station in Hossegor will be installed within the Jo&Joe Hossegor premises and will be equipped with surfboards provided by the renowned brand, Rip Curl. Jo&Joe Hossegor customers will be able to enjoy this unique experience by testing and purchasing high-quality surfboards.
This partnership between SeaLocker, Jo&Joe Hossegor, and Rip Curl reflects the shared commitment of the three companies to providing innovative and high-quality services to surf enthusiasts.
Together, they offer a unique experience that combines Jo&Joe Hossegor’s unconventional, friendly, and stylish accommodations, Rip Curl’s high-performance surf equipment, and SeaLocker’s autonomous rental technology.
We, at SeaLocker, advocate for a greener, more responsible approach to surfing and a sharing economy. By encouraging surfers not to travel with their own equipment, we believe the practice can contribute to a broader plan of protecting our planet and our favorite playground.
Our stations are custom-made by a French partner, incorporating elements of recycled plastic sourced from recycled caps in the Basque Country (Resak).
Our mats are made from recycled wetsuits and cork from the Landes region.
Each SeaLocker station will be equipped with a collection bin for neoprene surf wetsuits, allowing for recycling and creating a circular economy by regenerating products.
This partnership between SeaLocker, Jo&Joe Hossegor, and Rip Curl demonstrates a commitment to finding a balance between the profitability of our three companies and their impact on the oceans and beaches. It holds a central place in the lives of surfers and the people who make up the community.
The SeaLocker mission:
We aim to address the transportation challenges faced by surfers with their equipment, particularly surfboards and stand-up paddleboards.
All while committing to a more responsible consumption model and embracing a sharing economy.
