Doug Palladini is the new president and CEO of Carter’s children’s apparel, which also owns the OshKosh B’gosh brand, effective April 3.
Atlanta-based Carter’s cited Palladini’s accomplishments as global brand president at Vans, where he doubled global revenue to more than $4.2 billion over less than six years, in a press release.
“After a comprehensive search, we are thrilled to appoint Doug Palladini as CEO of Carter’s,” said William J. Montgoris, non-executive chairman of the board. “Doug’s remarkable track record of growing brands, his deep understanding of consumer-driven strategies, and his expertise in creating global brand connections will be invaluable as we continue to build upon Carter’s strong foundation. Under Doug’s leadership, Carter’s will continue to innovate, strengthen our unique, multi-channel business model, and stay true to our mission of providing high-quality, affordable apparel for young children.”
Palladini left Vans in 2022 and was briefly replaced by former Vans President and VF Corp. executive Kevin Bailey. Palladini launched his own consultancy, Kickstand, and serves on the board of directors at Skullcandy, Stance, and The Skatepark Project, according to LinkedIn. Bailey subsequently moved into another executive role at VF and ultimately left the company. VF named Sun Choe Vans president in May 2024.
At Carter’s, Palladini will be tasked with expanding its DTC and wholesale businesses, drive consumer loyalty, and grow its international reach.
“Carter’s is a storied company with a powerful legacy and iconic brands that have long been trusted by families with young children for its quality, value, and style,” Palladini said.
“I am eager to continue to advance the important work underway in our retail and wholesale businesses, further build upon Carter’s brand equity, and create lasting connections with our customers through accelerated relevance, inspiring products, and meaningful storytelling.”
