A community event is happening this Friday, June 20, in celebration of International Surfing Day, which officially falls on Saturday, June 21.

Patagonia and the Surfrider Foundation are teaming up to host an afternoon of surf-inspired fun, sustainability, and community connection, including free wetsuit repairsfree wetsuit repairs, a surfboard swap, live music, and more – all in honor of the ocean and the culture that surrounds it.

About International Surfing Day:

Founded by Surfrider in 2005, International Surfing Day (ISD) is a global celebration of surfing and a call to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches. Now in its 21st year, ISD is Surfrider’s largest annual international activation, with more than 150 events taking place around the world in 2024 — from Australia to Argentina and across the U.S.

The event is a chance for the Ventura surf community to connect, give back, and celebrate surfing, and what makes the coastline so special.
