Weitzel brings nearly a decade of experience in the outdoor industry, where he has built a career at the intersection of winter sports, authentic storytelling, and community engagement. His passion for the outdoors and creative marketing approach make him a natural fit for Swany as the brand embarks on a bold new chapter.
Weitzel joins Swany with a unique combination of grassroots snow sports knowledge and sophisticated marketing expertise. Beginning as a ski shop employee during college, he moved to Colorado to further his snowsports experience as a buyer and manager before attending film school in Los Angeles, which led him to focus on content marketing production. Weitzel has since held key in-house marketing positions at outdoor industry leaders Smartwool and Exxel Outdoors, while also creating content campaigns in the agency world for a diverse portfolio of brands spanning outdoor gear, luxury hospitality, and performance products. With a career that bridges the retail floor and the creative studio, Wietzel brings both insight and passion to lead Swany’s marketing into its next chapter, building on the brand’s long-standing commitment to performance, innovation, and quality.
