G-SHOCK debuted the Los Angeles Issue of its print publication, THISTIME Magazine, a tribute to the city’s unmatched creative energy and its long-standing influence on the brand. The issue celebrates Los Angeles through the lens of the people, style, and spirit that have shaped G-SHOCK’s identity across music, fashion, street culture, and art.

Serving as a platform to tell cultural stories from the inside out, THISTIME highlights G-SHOCK’s deep connection to LA and the communities that continue to inspire the brand’s legacy of innovation and toughness.

The issue was introduced at a private launch event on July 24 at Paper Work in Los Angeles, where media, tastemakers, and longtime fans gathered to preview the magazine. The night featured interactive activations and nods to G-SHOCK’s heritage, underscoring the brand’s ongoing dialogue with the city that has helped define its cultural relevance.

Los Angeles stands as both a love letter to the city and a celebration of G-SHOCK’s enduring relationship with the creative community that drives it forward.

Highlights from the evening included interactive Gashapon “Gacha Gacha” machines where every guest won a new G-SHOCK timepiece, light-up displays showcasing eight of the brand’s latest releases, and custom artwork by local creatives. Attendees experienced a large-scale projection wall highlighting G-SHOCK’s history and toughness, a live durability demo led by Mike Princiotto, and even Nünchi treats designed to resemble the brand’s iconic square watches.

The launch of the Los Angeles issue of THISTIME Magazine reinforces G-SHOCK’s deep connection to the city’s creative scene and the vibrant community that continues to inspire the brand.
