Endless Surf, next generation wave pool technology company, will take the stage at the upcoming SIMA Super Summit to present “The Global Surf Park Boom: Capitalizing on Surfing’s New Frontier,” a forward-looking session exploring how the rise of surf parks is reshaping the surf industry’s future.
With more than 100 surf parks now open or in development worldwide, the sport is expanding far beyond traditional coastlines, reaching new markets, audiences, and opportunities. Endless Surf’s session will dive into how surf parks are creating new ecosystems for participation, events, and business, while redefining what it means to be part of surf culture.
“Surf parks are no longer a concept, they’re a global reality,” said Baptiste Caulonque, Chief Commercial Officer, Endless Surf. “They’re changing how, where, and why people surf. From families discovering the sport for the first time to elite athletes training in controlled environments, surf parks are fueling a whole new generation of surfers and surf communities.”
Key discussion points include:
- The global expansion of surf parks — with 100+ projects now open or underway.
- Surfing’s move inland, introducing new demographics and markets to the sport.
- How parks are becoming anchors for resorts, real estate, and urban developments.
- The creation of new trip formats and year-round destinations.
- The role of events, activations, and media in building cultural and commercial value.
- The potential of customizable, broadcast-ready environments for brands and competitions.
Part of a full day of sessions at the SIMA Super Summit, Endless Surf’s presentation will join an agenda featuring leaders across conservation, retail innovation, surf culture, and industry growth, including keynotes from Kevin Ervin Kelley (The New Retail Playbook) and Ryan Becker of Visit California (Riding the Wave: How Surf Culture Inspires California Travel Marketing).
“The SIMA Super Summit brings together the people and ideas shaping the future of our industry,” said Vipe Desai, Executive Director of SIMA. “Endless Surf’s perspective on surf parks highlights one of the most exciting frontiers in surfing today, one that bridges business innovation, participation, and cultural growth.”
The SIMA Super Summit takes place on Wednesday Oct 15th from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM at the Rivian South Coast Theater in Laguna Beach, featuring keynotes, panels, workshops, and networking sessions with the surf industry’s most influential voices.
