LOWA Boots is moving its headquarters from Connecticut to Salt Lake City as part of its new era under incoming GM Lance Taylor.
The brand has been identified as a “key growth driver” within the Tecnica Group portfolio, which it joined in 1993 and which also includes Moon Boot and Rollerblade, according to a news release.
LOWA will relocate its headquarters to Utah in spring 2026 and warehouse operations will move later in the year. LOWA’s U.S. operations will also be integrated into Tecnica Group’s U.S. operations to improve efficiency, innovation and collaboration.

Tecnica Group thanked LOWA’s Connecticut employees and said the company will focus on “ensuring a seamless transition for employees, partners, and customers” over the next six to 12 months.
“Our priority is to ensure a smooth transition for all employees,” Taylor said in a statement supplied to SESO. Taylor took over from longtime U.S. GM Peter Sachs this month. “LOWA is providing relocation opportunities, severance packages, and job placement support to those affected. The company also plans to expand its sales, marketing and digital teams in Salt Lake City in early 2026 to strengthen our presence in the U.S. outdoor market. Our focus remains on continuity, supporting our people and positioning LOWA for continued success in the U.S.”
Taylor said LOWA’s 102-year-old history is built on craftsmanship, performance and trust.
“As we look ahead, our goal is to build on that legacy while bringing fresh energy, innovation, and connection to the U.S. market,” Taylor said. “With the support of Tecnica Group, we’re poised to expand our reach and continue delivering the quality and performance that define the LOWA name.”
“LOWA has an incredible legacy and reputation among outdoor enthusiasts for uncompromising quality,” said Alexander Nicolai, CEO Germany-based LOWA Sportschuhe GmbH. “This next phase represents a strategic investment in the brand’s future bringing it closer to consumers, enhancing our U.S. operations, and setting the stage for sustained growth in the years ahead. LOWA U.S. is well-positioned to strengthen its presence in one of the world’s most dynamic outdoor markets.”
