Scandinavian luggage and bag brand Db is bolstering its global sales organization with several key appointments to accelerate its worldwide expansion plans. The new hires, effective Dec. 1, come as Db continues to build momentum following recent investments from LVMH Luxury Ventures in 2024 and Norwegian soccer icon Erling Haaland in 2025.
Cecilia Ekroth joins Db’s Stockholm office as the new global VP of sales after more than a decade of executive experience at Acne Studios.
“We are excited to welcome Cecilia on board,” Db CEO Richard Collier said in a statement. “She brings strong expertise in managing marketplaces across Europe, the U.S., and Asia, and will be a fantastic leader for our talented sales professionals around the world.”
Ekroth’s appointment is central to Db’s strategy of deepening its roots in the global fashion and lifestyle industry, leveraging her extensive background to steer the brand’s sales goals.
Investing in Key Regional Markets
Db is also making significant investments in its regional teams to support its growth trajectory:
- North America: Db is partnering with Waypoint Outdoor to manage its wholesale channels in both the U.S. and Canada. The U.S. is currently Db’s No. 1 growth market, and this partnership aims to expand its reach in outdoor, surf and specialty retail channels like REI and Evo, meeting the consumer demand for its products.
- DACH region: For the first time, Db is bringing its operations in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) in-house. A new, dedicated sales team will be based in Munich’s MOC Centre. Sven Perleth has been appointed head of DACH, and he will be supported by Alexander Guenther covering Northern Germany and Ole Pavel in Switzerland. This direct approach will allow Db to have a stronger, more focused presence in this vital European market, according to a news release.
- Scandinavia: To reinforce its home market, Db has named Stine Maseidvåg as the new head of Scandinavia. Her leadership will be crucial in strengthening the brand’s foundation and continuing its success in the region where its journey began.
“Db sees a significant opportunity in the DACH region and across our global markets,” Collier said. “We’ve built a passionate team of bag and luggage enthusiasts who will help us grow our footprint across premium sports and lifestyle retail partners.”
