Boot Barn, the largest western and workwear retailer in the nation, is proud to announce the grand opening of its Huntington Beach, CA store this month. This store opening represents a symbolic return to the area as the very first Boot Barn store opened its doors in Huntington Beach in 1978. From that single storefront, Boot Barn has expanded its nationwide presence to over 500 stores spanning 49 states.
Boot Barn marked the occasion with a Grand Opening Celebration running from January 23rd through January 25th. The Huntington Beach store hosted three days of activities and events for customers, including live music performances, complimentary refreshments, photo booths, hat decorating and customization, and cowboy boot giveaways.
In addition to their standard Grand Opening giveaways, for this special milestone Boot Barn is partnering with DeLillo Chevrolet to give away a brand-new Chevrolet Silverado 1500 truck. Customers could enter for a chance to win the truck in-store during the Grand Opening event.
“We’re proud and honored to be returning to our roots with the opening of our Huntington Beach store,” said John Hazen, CEO of Boot Barn. “We were founded right here in Southern California, and Huntington Beach will always hold a special place in our hearts thanks to the role it has played in our history. This new store comes at a time of high growth for us and is a powerful reminder of how far we’ve come. While we’ve grown a lot at Boot Barn since 1978, our vision remains exactly the same—to share a piece of the American spirit, one handshake at a time.”
The new 12,000 square foot store is open now, located at 16100 Beach Boulevard, close to the Bella Terra shopping center. The store offers a broad selection of western wear, workwear, western-inspired fashion, and outdoor gear, alongside personalized services such as boot fittings, boot stretching, and complimentary hat shaping. The store also offers free Buy Online, Pick Up In-Store (BOPIS) and a “We Have It Promise” (WHIP), which ships items that are out-of-stock in the store directly to customers’ homes with free two-day delivery.
Boot Barn’s return to Huntington Beach arrives alongside several new store openings across the nation throughout January. Boot Barn’s strong pace of store openings and expansions will continue throughout 2026. To support their growth, Boot Barn is actively hiring at stores nationwide and at their Irvine, CA headquarters.
