The internationally recognized Life Time Sea Otter Classic will return to WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca this spring, bringing four days of world-class cycling competition, outdoor recreation and family-friendly activities to Monterey County. Organizers are encouraging visitors and spectators to secure tickets early for the globally celebrated event.
Known as the largest cycling festival in the world, the Sea Otter Classic attracts professional athletes, cycling enthusiasts and families from across the United States and around the world. New Trail Run Debuts Saturday
A new feature of this year’s festival is the Sea Otter Classic Trail Run, scheduled for Saturday morning. The event will take runners through the scenic trails surrounding Laguna Seca and the former Fort Ord landscape, offering sweeping views and rolling terrain.
Participants can choose between two distances:
• 17K (10.6 miles) for experienced trail runners seeking a challenge
• 5K (2.8 miles) designed for beginners, families and casual runners
Both courses finish on the legendary Laguna Seca Raceway track. The event begins at 7 a.m. Saturday and offers runners a unique opportunity to experience the terrain that has made Monterey County a destination for outdoor recreation.
The shorter 5K course is open to a wide range of participants and allows strollers, making it accessible for families or groups visiting the festival together.
Sunday Highlights Family Day
Sunday will once again feature Family Day, a festival tradition that focuses on introducing children and families to cycling and outdoor recreation.
Children ages 12 and under always receive free admission to the Sea Otter Classic. On Family Day Sunday, the benefit expands — each child 12 and under may bring two adults for free admission, making it easier for families to experience the festival together.
The event includes activities designed to help young riders build skills and confidence while enjoying the excitement of the festival.
Family-friendly activities include:
• Kids riding zones and obstacle courses
• Balance bike opportunities for younger riders
• Interactive games and cycling activities
• Kid-focused races and demonstrations
• The popular Sea Otter egg hunt

Four Days of Racing, Riding and Innovation
Running Thursday through Sunday, the Sea Otter Classic combines elite competition with a large-scale consumer expo and recreational activities.
