As we expand our lines in swim, surf and activewear, we are looking for a Sales Director of Strategic Accounts to grow our brand footprint in the wholesale channel of our business. In this role, you’ll draw on your background in business development, retail analytics, and branding to drive strategic, sustainable growth with our key partners. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for sport and the outdoors, along with a positive, solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving.

• Reports to: VP, Global Wholesale
Responsibilities:
Strategically growing our wholesale channel through:
• Planning, organizing, and managing balanced sales growth, continued account penetration and customer satisfaction mindful of corporate P&L goals.
• Creating, influencing, and building relationships with specialty retailers, team dealers and strategic accounts at the regional and national level in the surf, sporting goods, and department store sectors.
• Selling the current JOLYN product line as well as assisting in the development of new products as a result of understanding white space and market opportunities that enhance the brand’s overall positioning in the marketplace.
• Conducting product and account analyses, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data and developing insight into avenues for growth on an ongoing and quarterly hindsight basis.
• Working within a team-based sales environment to cultivate strong collaborative. relationships with cross functional team members in planning, operations, marketing, etc.
• Maintain a positive work climate and an environment based on trust, diversity, and inclusion within the team.
• Foster and communicate the values that support the mission and objectives of JOLYN.
• Ad hoc projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 10 years of experience in wholesale business development in the sporting goods, apparel/footwear or accessories with a performance brand.
• Developed skill sets in POS data analytics, forecasting, data driven decision making.• Experience in developing creative and comprehensive marketing programs, preferably with customers or other business partners.
• Experience managing budgets
Skills:
• Excellent written and oral presentation abilities; comfort in presenting to senior level executives.
• Strong analytical and merchandising skills with the ability to identify account opportunities, evaluate growth potential and profitability, and develop long-term strategic business and merchandising plans.
• Problem solver and strategic thinking adept in negotiation.
• Solid understanding of brand management.
• Attention-to-detail with the ability to “see around corners” and anticipate needs/roadblocks
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
• Good decision maker and communicator.
• Team player with strong positive attitude and approachable demeanor
• Category management experience a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; excellence in Excel, NuOrder & Netsuite
Additional Role Information:
• Hybrid work arrangement with a combination of on-site and remote work based on business needs. Corporate office is in Huntington Beach, CA.
• Ability to travel for accounts visits and trade shows approximately twelve times per year.
• Compensation includes an anticipated base salary of $80,000–$85,000, with on-target earnings of $150,000–$170,000 for candidates who meet individual and team performance benchmarks.
