The world’s best surfing alongside top skateboard and BMX competitions, an unparalleled entertainment experience featuring creative workshops, movie premiers and way more: from July 28th to August 5th, California’s Huntington Beach will host Vans US Open of Surfing, one of the world’s largest surf competitions and action sport festivals. Carrying on the tradition of major competitive surfing, Swatch is excited to kick off its new partnership as presenting partner of this prestigious event – where sports and art go hand in hand to celebrate the surf lifestyle by one of the most iconic surf beaches.
Swatch Proteam rider Courtney Conlogue will hope for strong hometown support, in the place she grew up surfing, in her quest for winning this Women’s Championship Tour stop. The Swiss watchmaking brand also crosses fingers for Hawaiian Proteam athlete Coco Ho as well as the two new athletes Tia Blanco and Jhonny Guerrero who are both competing in the qualifying rounds.
On the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier, two Swatch booths will invite surf enthusiasts to hang out with friends, discover the Swatch Proteam’s favorite watches and express their creativity mentored by local artists. Searching for the PERFECT RIDE, the dedicated event watch was inspired by beautiful waves and the visual identity of Vans US Open. Cannot make it to South California? Competitions will be live-streamed on Swatch & Sports Facebook official page.
