Published: October 23, 2018 Press Release

Surf Line Hawaii/Jams World, the multi-generational, Made in Hawaii clothing company, releases their Vintage style boardshort Made in their Honolulu, Hawaii factory. Hawaii’s unofficial uniform is the boardshort—also known as swim trunks, surf shorts, bathing suits, or boardies, boardshorts are here to stay. The boardshort in Hawaii were initially created as custom-made surf trunks by tailors at popular venues such as the H. Miura Store in Haleiwa, or M. Nii’s in Makaha during the 1950s. The early boardshort were designed for fit and comfort, created for the ultimate wave-riding experience.

“The resurgence of vintage surf culture has sparked our design team to create great vintage style boardies in a classic black or navy colorway.” says Heather Rochlen, Jams World/Surf Line Hawaii Vice President.  The famous Surf Line Hawaii patch is located on the lower left hand side of the boardshort and features a 7” inseam for that pure vintage look. The lightweight nylon material is strong enough to take on a couple sets at backdoor or ready for a backyard pa’ina.  The Shorts also feature a Velcro back pocket as well as a Velcro and string closure. These “Made in Hawaii” boardshorts are an intersection of fashion, art, entertainment and athleticism.

You can find these “Made in Hawaii” Vintage Style Boardshorts exclusively at the company’s Surf Line Hawaii Store at Waikiki’s International Marketplace in Honolulu, Hi or online www.surflinehawaii.com.
