HippyTree is getting ready to celebrate its #52weeksofnature marketing campaign and photography contest this weekend in Hermosa Beach.
The company got more than 75,000 submissions — making this the most successful initiative in HippyTree’s history. The contest was updated to make things more interactive by selecting four weekly semi-finalists and allowing the public to vote on their favorite image each week. Saturday, HippyTree will be displaying each winning image from 2018, as well as handing out a few awards. The Professional’s Choice award will be determined by a few photographers HippyTree works with regularly (Chris Burkard, Travis Burke, John Barton, Mark McInnis and Jeremy Koreski). The People’s Choice award will be chosen by the public by voting online at https://woobox.com/hv35ek.
The photo exhibit is 7-10 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 26 at HippyTree pop-up gallery, 914 Aviation Blvd., Hermosa Beach, CA 90254
