Rip Curl’s Q1 Sales Drop 7 Percent, Wholesale Orders Expected to Improve

Executives at Rip Curl parent company KMD Brands reviewed how the brand performed last year and in Q1 in the current fiscal year, and gave an outlook for the wholesale channel in the second half during the company's annual meeting this week.

KMD Brands Ltd. reported Rip Curl’s sales slumped 6.7% in its fiscal first quarter ended Oct. 31, worsening sequentially versus a 2.4% decline seen in its fourth quarter.
