Tilly’s Sees Weak Start to Holiday Selling

Tilly’s CEO Hezy Shaked blamed the softening sales on poor merchandising calls. The company, which did see a few positive signs in Q3, recently changed its merchandising leadership to improve results.

Tilly’s Inc. reported some progress in the second quarter with the period marking its best quarterly comp performance since fiscal 2021 and the second consecutive quarter of year-over-year store traffic growth. However, sales worsened early in the fourth quarter and the chain expects to show another loss in the holiday period.
