Jake Burton and Donna Carpenter opened their Stowe, Vermont home to approximately 1,500 employees, friends, Burton athletes, retailers and family members Saturday for the company’s annual fall bash to kick off the winter season.
Â
The party included dinner and drinks, football games on the expansive lawn, a performance by Cold War Kids, and tons of activities for kids.
Â
It was basically kid heaven – face painting, a bounce house, a trampoline, indoor basketball hoop, movies and much more. And for the parents, Donna and Jake hired babysitters to watch over the little ones.
Â
The family moved most of the furniture out of its house, and guests gathered and meandered throughout the property, including in the family’s main house, some converted barns, and a playroom that was popular with kids and adults alike.
Â
A huge tent was set up on the lawn where food and drinks were served, and hundreds of people sat at tables, eating and visiting.
Â
I saw several retailers there in addition to Burton employees past and present and Burton athletes, including Kevin Pearce.
Â
I’ll have more stories and photos from my visit to Burton headquarters. In the meantime, here are some photos from the party.
