Press Release:

ALISO VIEJO, Calif. (August 29, 2011) – Registration is now open for New Advertising Boot Camp, presented by the Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA). The event will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, Calif.

New Advertising Boot Camp will focus on the impact that interactive platforms are having on our ability to reach consumers more effectively and will explore best practices for utilizing new media and technology in your brand’s advertising and marketing efforts. Experts from the internet giants Google and AOL will share their tips of the trade for making your brand stand out to consumers in theever-evolving digital world.

The first session of the morning, Campaigns to Conversations, will showcase a presentation by David Shing / Digital Prophet, AOL. The digital landscape is changing at a mind-bending pace and attention is the new currency. The old model was about campaigns, the new model has to be about conversations and humanizing the web. Join Shing as he discusses the evolving digital landscape and insights on where this is all headed.

For the second session, Beth Greve / National Sales Manager, Google, will be speaking on Getting the Most Out of Search 2.0. After her first appearance at New Media Boot Camp in August 2010, Boot Camp attendees gave her raving reviews and requested for SIMA to bring her back for even a longer length presentation as members felt she had so much valuable information to offer.

Well, SIMA has done just that and has allotted more time for Greve to dive deeper into tactics and take questions from the audience during her presentation. Learn how to make the power of Google and YouTube work best for your business- from basic keyword search, to display advertising to online video – and see what tactics other companies are using to get the most out of Google and YouTube in their interactive marketing efforts in this intensive session.

The half-day event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and, in addition to the two seminars, features a group breakfast and valuable networking time. All levels of employees from any department who would benefit from the panel discussions, seminars and industry networking time are highly encouraged to report for duty.

Registration for New Advertising Boot Camp is now open and the deadline to register is September 23, 2011. Register online by visiting www.regonline.com/newadvertisingbootcamp.
