Photos from Waterman's Weekend Underwriting Party

SIMA sent us photos and a recap of the Waterman’s Weekend Underwriting Party held late last week at The Ranch in Laguna Beach.

The Ranch’s outdoor patio nestled in between Laguna’s hills overlooking the Ben Brown’s nine-hole golf course was the perfect venue to kick off the Waterman’s Weekend fundraising. We hosted over 80 people from surf industry executives including Sanuk’s Jake Brandman, Depactus’ Bruce Beach and SIMA Environmental Fund president and Vissla head, Paul Naude.

Surfrider’s Chad Nelson and Patagonia’s Chris Evans, a Santa Barbara local, shared details of the oil spill in Santa Barbara and emphasized the devastation and massive, on-going clean up work. Guests noshed on gourmet tacos and enjoyed beer from Golden Road Brewing Co and wine from Young’s Market while the Ken Garcia Band played courtesy of Clay and Delphine Berryhill.

Funds were raised by guests underwriting specific portions of the Waterman’s Weekend like the event program, wine corkage, and entertainment as well as through a brief live auction that included a week at the Vans Pipeline house, Lakers suite package and Waterman’s VIP packages.
