Burton Corp.’s e-commerce business remains on pause after a cyberattack earlier this month halted the company’s ability to process orders.

The company said the attack occurred Feb. 11 and is still “impacting some of our operations” as of its most recent update to customers on Monday. A third-party company is investigating the full extent of the attack, the company told consumers.

A Burton spokesperson, reached Tuesday, declined to comment and directed any questions to the company’s online public disclosure.

“We are working tirelessly to restore the impacted network systems as securely and efficiently as possible so we can resume business operations,” the company said on its site. “We anticipate resuming business operations in the coming days to weeks.”

The company said there’s currently no evidence customer data was leaked during the attack, but would inform anyone impacted if that changes during the course of the investigation.

Online ordering, local store inventory checks, returns, and warranty claims through the website cannot currently be processed until systems are restored.

In the meantime, the company is directing consumers to Burton physical stores to make purchases or returns. The return window has been extended from 30 to 60 days.

Boardriders was impacted by a cyberattack in 2019, stemming from a computer virus that took down some of the company’s systems in certain parts of the world. It took several weeks for operations to be restored, allowing the company to resume processing transactions and shipments.
