Former Billabong Heavy Hitter Steph Hendrickson Joins It’s Now Cool Swimwear Brand

Hendrickson's experience will be key to the brand's next phase of growth, It's Now Cool said. It's a big hiring coup for the brand.

Longtime Billabong executive Steph Hendrickson is joining Australian swimwear brand It’s Now Cool as global marketing director.

Hendrickson spent 20 years at Billabong, most recently as global vice-president of marketing and APAC brand lead. Just last month Hendrickson and Billabong won several accolades at the Australian Surf & Boardsports Industry Association Awards, including brand of the year.

“I’m beyond excited to join the team and help take this incredible brand to the next level,” Hendrickson said in a statement, adding that she got to know It’s Now Cool’s founders, Josie Clough and Ryan Stanistreet, while working on collaborations between the two brands. “They are visionaries, incredibly talented and just all-round good humans.”

Globe International bought a 50% stake in It’s Now Cool in 2022. Hendrickson’s experience will be key to the brand’s next phase of growth, according to a press release.

“Having Steph on the team is a game-changer,” said Matt Wong, president of global product, in a statement. “She understands what is needed to amplify a brand and inspire consumers. She also knows how to take the brand vision and support our retailers to execute that vision on the shop floor.”
