Former long-time Vans marketing executive Carly Gomez is the new SVP and chief marketing officer for the Crocs brand, according to a company post on LinkedIn.
Gomez most recently served as CMO of activewear brand Fabletics, which she joined 1.5 years ago.
Before that, Gomez worked for 16 years at Vans, where she had a stellar reputation and rose steadily through the ranks. She started as a manager of retail visual merchandising, and her last job at the footwear company was VP of marketing, brand management, DTC and social media – global and Americas.
In her new role, Gomez will report to Terence Reilly, executive vice president and chief brand officer for Crocs Inc., and will relocate to Broomfield, Colorado where Crocs is based, according to a story in Footwear News.
Crocs, with $3.3 billion in annual brand revenue, is a major casual footwear player with a diverse customer base. In the second quarter ended June 30, the brand reported $960 million in revenue, an increase of 4.2% in constant currency.
In addition, Crocs Inc. named a new SVP and CMO for the Hey Dude brand, which is also owned by the company. Amondo Redmond has worked in executive marketing positions at Foot Locker and Forever 21.
