I have some news to share about a familiar name to our readers.
Kate Robertson, who has been covering the outdoor industry for Shop Eat Surf Outdoor, has been named Editor-in-Chief of Retail TouchPoints, the B2B publication focused on the retail industry that I also oversee in my role at Emerald, our parent company.
If you have worked with Kate or read her work here, you know how good she is. Sources loved her. She asked smart questions, understood the industry quickly, and delivered strong, consistent coverage of major retailers like REI, MEC and Christy’s, and brands like The North Face. Promoting her to lead Retail TouchPoints was an easy call.
At RTP, Kate will oversee coverage of retail trends, innovation and the evolving landscape of brands and consumer behavior, serving an audience of retail executives. She will work alongside Associate Publisher Kate Walker, who brings more than 13 years of retail media and partnerships experience, including eight years at Fairchild Media with brands like Women’s Wear Daily, Footwear News and Sourcing Journal.
