The Collective Shows, which includes Swim Collective and Active Collective all under one roof, took place last week in Huntington Beach, California, with a wide range of brands and retailers attending.
Notable active brands included Beyond Yoga, Manduka, Sweaty Betty, Year of Ours, Glyder, Fabletics, Spiritual Gangster, The Upside, SPLITS59, and Rhone.
When it comes to swim, well-known names included Luli Fama, WeWoreWhat, VIX, Onia, Beach Bunny, Malai, ONEONE, Seafolly, Andie, and Johnny Was.
According to Show Director Devon Ranger, Collective also welcomed several new brands to the show including LoveShackFancy, HALARA, The Hermoza, PLAYALUXE and more. There were also several new collection launches, such as Free People’s new collection, free-est, described as everyday wear with classic beachy staples and billowy silhouettes, and MPG Sport’s new Dreamwave by MPG collection.
On the retailer front, notable retailers that came to review lines included Backcountry, Bikini Shoppe, Canyon Ranch Resorts, Core Power Yoga, Equinox, Fairmont Hotels, Maui Clothing Company, MGM Resorts, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, REI, Road Runner Sports, Splash Hawaii, Sports Basement, and Tyler’s.
Ranger said the introduction of badge scanning within the Collective app for lead retrieval was popular with exhibitors.
“This was a huge highlight as it offered our brands another avenue of making connections and setting meetings with retailers before, during, and after the show,” Ranger said.
The show took place with the Los Angeles fires burning, and Ranger said it was good for everyone to gather in Orange County to connect given the circumstances.
“The support our Collective Community had for one another was truly remarkable and we felt so honored to be a place we can all come together to do so,” she said.
