We stopped by the Swim Collective and Active Collective trade shows Thursday at the Anaheim Convention Center.
It’s been a tough swim season by many accounts thanks to the cool weather for much of the first half of the year, which hurt the reorder business for some brands.
However, a lot of brands and buyers were at the show ready to put the season beyond them and see what’s new for resort and in some cases, spring.
Many of the brand executives we talked to said the show was very busy on Wednesday and they were happy that a contingent of retailers from Hawaii, Texas and even parts of the Midwest attended. Those are areas where it can be challenging for sales reps to get to.
Show Director Roy Turner told us his team has made a concentrated effort to target those areas after listening to feedback from brands. We have lots of photos of who and what we saw at the shows in our slide show above.
