Puffin Drinkwear is ready for its next chapter. The Bend, Ore.-based maker of fashionable sweaters, T-shirts, outerwear, and more for drinks is armed with a recently closed Series A and has tapped former Hydro Flask CEO Scott Allan to be its interim CEO.

“The funding allows the company to pursue the next chapter of its existence with growth in sales, DTC e-commerce, product, upgrading our team, and scaling the brand,” Allan said.

He heads up a company that is ready to transition from what he described as operating in “survival mode” to a focus on long-term strategy. Puffin started in the outdoor market and is branching out, including into surf.

Editor’s note – This is a great story about a brand that makes everyone smile and is worth the click over to The Daily. Puffin is already in 4,000 stores and is working at a wide range of retailers, and Scott Allan is a big add for the brand.
