The Nidecker Group announced Friday that #YES Snowboards will transition to majority ownership of its co-founders Romain De Marchi and JP Solberg in April 2026. The rider-founded brand, established in 2008, will operate as a standalone company under their direction.

David Carrier Porcheron (DCP), the third co-founder, will continue as a brand ambassador.

The Nidecker Group, whose portfolio of brands includes Bataleon, Emerica, éS, Etnies, Jones, Nidecker, Rome and Thirtytwo, originally partnered with #YES founders to launch the brand.

In 2024, #YES merged with Lobster (founded by Eiki and Halldór Helgason) and NOW Bindings (founded by JF Pelchat), expanding its product offerings and reinforcing its rider-driven approach. The Helgason brothers and Geiri Höskuldsson contributed to rebuilding the team and product direction.

The transition will occur over two seasons. Nidecker Group will operate #YES for the 2025/26 season, maintaining support for shops, distributors, and partners. The company plans to release two films and launch other marketing initiatives during this period. Beginning with the 2026/27 season, #YES will manage its own operations, including pre-book sales.

“#YES is the first brand we started with riders, and it set the foundation for what has become the Nidecker Group – a family of rider-driven brands built on the same spirit of collaboration and innovation,” said Henry Nidecker, CEO of the Nidecker Group. “We are proud of the role the Nidecker Group has played in helping the brand grow, and we thank the founders for trusting us throughout all these years. This next chapter enables them to carry forward their vision, and we fully support them through the transition and into the future.”

The co-founders stated: “#YES was built on friendship, creativity, and the belief that snowboarding should always be rider driven. We thank the Nidecker Group for all those years of support and partnership. This transition gives us the opportunity to shape the brand’s future and keep building on that original spirit.”

The Nidecker Group, founded in 1887 in Switzerland and family-owned, began manufacturing snowboards in 1984. The company describes itself as the oldest boardsports company in the world.
