Hermosa Beach, CA – HippyTree is excited to announce a restructuring of its California sales team. Andrew Walford is taking over Central and Northern California. Jay Sheldon will service Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara and the Inland Empire. Brent Locken is now responsible for the Orange County and San Diego territories.
“With the addition of these top quality reps, we believe HippyTree is better positioned to service our California retail partners and accelerate our growth trajectory in this important territory,” said HippyTree Sales Director Josh Sweeney.
A longtime fan of HippyTree, Andrew Walford has started his own agency after recently parting ways with Burton. As a long time Burton rep and previously a retail manager and buyer at O’Neill Surf Shop, Walford is a seasoned industry professional with extensive retail contacts. J
ay Sheldon comes to HippyTree from Globe where he was an in-house sales rep and main point of contact for 350 retailers. Previously Sheldon was a floor manager and buyer at Spyder Surf Shop.
Brent Locken started his career at Huntington Surf & Sport where he spent eight years working in several roles including manager and buyer. Locken then pioneered Australian brand The Critical Slide Society throughout the U.S.
