Oakley has announced the schedule of events and athlete appearances for the 2016 Oakley Week at Mammoth Mountain being held from Tuesday, March 15 through Saturday, March 19. Oakley athletes Chloe Kim, Jamie Anderson, Alex Beaulieu-Marchand, Sammy Carlson, Eero Ettala, Seb Toutant, and Sven Thorgren will attend the week-long celebration that includes events, giveaways, product demos, and athlete signings. The Oakley Progression Sessions’ two day, women-only ski and snowboard camp kicked off Oakley Week on Saturday, March 12. The week will conclude with the Oakley Mini Pipe Challenge hosted by two-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White on Saturday, March 19.
The Oakley Mini Pipe Challenge invites riders of all ages to celebrate snowboarding in a custom-built mini half pipe. The challenge will take place from 12pm-2pm on Saturday, March 19, and prizes will be awarded for different challenges as well as for standout performances from riders of all ages and abilities. Entry for the challenge is free.
Additional events during Oakley Week at Mammoth Mountain will include:
– Golden Tickets Giveaway in randomly selected gondolas throughout the resort. Each ticket can be redeemed for gifts at the Oakley Hub located at the Main Lodge (March 15-19)
– Golden Ticket drops on social media @mammothmountain (March 15-19)
– Sammy C Project movie premiere in The Village at 7:30pm – weather permitting (March 18)
– Children’s Treasure Hunt throughout Woolly’s Woods(March 17-18)
– Après specials throughout the resort, including The Mill and Tusks Bar (March 15-19)
The 2016 Oakley Week is the first landmark event since the announcement of the three-year partnership with Mammoth Mountain last November. Oakley will provide exclusive access for consumers and athletes to experience Oakley products, including Prizm lens technology that provides an enhanced view on and off the slopes. Oakley performance goggles and eyewear will be available in all Mammoth Mountain shops.
