Trash Panda and Crocs have partnered on a special disc golf disc containing recycled Crocs shoes.
Trash Panda is taking shreds made from well-loved Crocs shoes collected through the brand’s Old Crocs. New Life. takeback program and blending them into 100% recycled plastic to create high-performance disc golf discs.
With Trash Panda headquartered in Denver and Crocs headquartered nearby in Broomfield, the partnership brings together two local brands with a shared belief that a product’s story does not have to end when its first life does.
“We’ve been making 100% recycled discs since 2020, but this one feels extra special.” said Jesse Stedman, Founder of Trash Panda Disc Golf. “Partnering with a brand like Crocs means more people caring about sustainable products, more material being diverted from the local landfills, and more people discovering disc golf. At Trash Panda we make circular products in a circular way, and this partnership is a meaningful way to do just that – all while keeping it local!”
“Working with partners like Trash Panda allows us to build real, practical, and impactful circular pathways,” said Deanna Bratter, Chief Sustainability & Compliance Officer, Crocs, Inc. “Transforming old Crocs shoes into new products, right here in Colorado, supports local circular solutions while helping us keep materials in use longer. This partnership brings the potential of Crocs shreds to life, and we’ll continue exploring new opportunities to reuse our products.”
The discs are a tangible, holdable, throwable example of how previously discarded products can be turned into something that can keep providing memories for years to come. Each disc is made with 100% recycled TPU plastic blended with recycled Crocs shoes, which turn into visible, colorful flecks from Crocs’ proprietary Croslite™ material throughout.
As Jesse puts it: “Now you get to throw a mile with someone else’s shoes.”
The discs are available at TrashPandaDiscGolf.com.
