The team at Grain has always felt a responsibility to help find a use for plastic waste, contributing to a more circular economy and keeping plastic out of our global environment. After years experimenting with recycled plastics inside and outside of our boards, we’ve now perfected a new construction method that achieves these goals and offers our boards at a lower price point. Our new GreenRail surfboards are hand-built in Maine and using our time-tested wood construction combined with a perimeter rail made of 100% recycled plastic bottles.
These new boards are built to the same quality standards as our all-wood original construction, lightweight, designed to surf, and built to last a lifetime. But now we’re able to offer these boards at a much more competitive price point and one that’s on par with some of the most respected foam shapers in the industry.
