Rab Refreshes Skyline Mountain Running Collection for Spring/Summer 2025

British outdoor brand Rab (owned by Equip Outdoor Technologies Ltd.) have unveiled a comprehensive refresh of their Skyline mountain running collection for Spring/Summer 2025. The collection’s award-winning designs are specifically engineered for diverse mountain running adventures – from windswept ridgelines to steep climbs and technical descents – featuring ultralight, breathable fabrics optimized for performance and comfort on challenging terrain. 

Redesign of running shorts range 

At the heart of the update is a complete redesign of the Skyline running shorts range, catering for different runner preferences and terrain demands. 

Offering mountain runners stripped-back, minimalist legwear for when every gram counts, the Talus Light Shorts are the lightest and shortest running shorts in the range. Rab have honed the shorts’ design to ensure they’re fit for purpose, with improved waistband elastication that provides a better fit on the move. 

The Talus 2 in 1 Shorts have been reimagined with a body-hugging fit and an updated waistband that’s easy to adjust and stays secure over bumpy terrain. The shorts feature a multitude of stable pockets and supportive inner shorts providing better stretch and recovery than ever. 

Breathable and flexible, the Talus Tights Shorts have received a refresh to their fabric and construction, while retaining the features that have made them a staple in the Skyline range. Constructed with double-knit FlexileTM 200 throughout, the new evolution offers improved durability and recovery, with a closer, more supportive fit. 

Veil XP 30 pack earns industry recognition 

The new Veil XP 30 has garnered prestigious accolades, including ISPO Award 2024, OIA Awards 2025 Winner (backpack category), and OIA Awards 2025 ‘Product of the Year’. This ultralight, fully waterproof 30L pack is built for fast-moving adventures in unpredictable mountain conditions. 

Tested to IPX4 standards, the Veil XP 30 features taped seams and waterproof construction that protects gear through varied mountain weather, eliminating the need for separate dry bags and further reducing weight. The pack’s 3D mesh back system efficiently wicks moisture, flexes with movement, and maintains comfort over long distances, while thoughtful design provides on-the-go access to essential gear. 

Developed for both ultrarunners and fast hikers, the Veil XP excels in scenarios from ultralight fastpacking to mountain marathons, and is also available in a more compact 20L version. 

Phantom Jacket: Updated ultralight waterproof protection 

The OIA Award-winning Phantom Jacket stands as one of the lightest waterproof shells on the market, offering essential protection for ultra running, mountain races, and thru-hiking adventures. Weighing in at only 105 grams (women’s size S), this PFAS-free jacket, crafted from recycled 7D 2.5-layer Pertex® Shield fabric, delivers exceptional waterproofing in an incredibly lightweight package. 

The design focuses exclusively on essential features – now including a practical full-length zip and ventilated roll-away hood – without compromising functionality. When not needed, the jacket conveniently packs into its own hood, creating a palm-sized package that stows easily in a backpack or running vest. Matching Phantom Pants are available for both men and women. 

The new Rab Skyline mountain running collection is now available to consumers.
