As you may already know, the team here at Rusty have begun a fundraising effort to raise awareness and funds for the bushfire relief. What’s been happening has hit pretty close to home with our friends, family, loyal retailers and even some of our team riders all affected by this disaster. Feeling pretty helpless over here in the west, we decided that we needed to help. Within 24 hours we went from an idea and some sketches, to some awesome local businesses helping out and we got this Tee live online. We are also hoping to continue to support victims well into the aftermath of the fires.
For right now, ideally everyone donates directly to the charity that they want to support and we are still encouraging everyone to do that BEFORE they buy a T-shirt.
Unfortunately we don’t live in a perfect world where that always happens. We decided to put out this tee to raise funds and speak to our audience who maybe haven’t made a donation yet, and who generally wouldn’t get involved unless they had an incentive to do so.
It’s certainly not all our customers but it is a reality, so our aim is to target people who like to have something in return, who have their own way to help / get involved. We have also allowed for international shipping on this item, which gives our international friends who want to help and don’t know how, the ability to do so.
The idea of this tee is make as many as we can in order to get the production costs way down, ultimately donating as much profit as possible and those people who got involved and purchased one can wear their tee as a badge of honour to raise further awareness in the months to come… BECAUSE THIS IS IN NO WAY OVER YET.
