Last week, the Surfrider Foundation rallied SIMA execs, coastal/tourism leaders and Surfrider chapters to meet in Washington, DC with federal agencies and White House officials to express opposition to new proposed offshore oil drilling in US coastal waters.
During these meetings, Surfrider CEO Dr. Chad Nelsen and the coalition presented officials with a surfboard and letter signed by over a thousand coastal businesses as a symbol of solidarity.
