You may have seen us around. Maybe you’ve spotted Eli Manning wearing us, caught Keegan Bradley on the golf course wearing our polos, or heard Dierks Bentley talking about his latest collection. Or maybe we’re a new name to you.
Either way, Flag & Anthem has grown into a lifestyle brand that goes well beyond any one category—and now we’re bringing that same spirit to Surf Expo.
We’re not the only ones who think there’s a place for Flag & Anthem in the surf and outdoor space. Retailers already carrying the brand have seen firsthand how it resonates with their customers.
“In its first year here, Flag & Anthem has been a strong addition to the Brave New World brand assortment. We are extremely pleased with product quality, assortment, and pricing. The customer’s quick embrace of the brand puts Flag & Anthem in a position of growth for the foreseeable future.”
-Jay Yankitis, Buyer – BRAVE NEW WORLD

To find out more about Flag & Anthem and what the brand is bringing to Surf Expo, we spoke with the team behind the brand.
Start at the beginning. What is Flag & Anthem?
CEO: We’re a lifestyle brand for people who don’t live their lives in one category.
We make real clothes for real life, blending vintage-inspired style, modern performance, and everyday comfort. Think pieces you reach for on repeat because they look good, feel good, and can handle whatever the day throws at you.
Our collections span Men’s, Women’s, Golf, and Collegiate, giving us plenty of room to play across categories without being defined by just one of them.
What makes you different?
CEO: We like clothes that work hard without looking like they’re working hard.
Stretch? Absolutely.
Breathability? Check.
Comfort? Non-negotiable.
But we also care about how it looks when you’re nowhere near a trail, golf course, campsite, or coastline.
Our goal is simple: premium clothes without the premium price tag.
So…why Surf Expo?
CEO: Because today’s customer doesn’t necessarily dress for one activity at a time.
They might grab coffee, head outside, spend the afternoon by the water, and end the day at dinner—all without wanting to change four times.
That’s our sweet spot.
Surf Expo brings together the kind of lifestyle we’ve always designed for: active, outdoorsy, social, relaxed, and always moving. We see a natural connection between the way people live around the water and the way we think about getting dressed.
But if you’re not a traditional surf brand, why would a surf or coastal retailer care?
CEO: Because not every customer walking into a surf shop is looking for something to wear in the water.
They’re looking for what to wear before the beach, on vacation, around town, or grabbing a drink at sunset.
Flag & Anthem gives retailers an opportunity to add lifestyle apparel that complements their existing assortment while giving customers something they can wear far beyond the beach. And we’re not the only ones seeing the opportunity. We asked one of our retail partners who already carry Flag & Anthem what made the brand stand out to them:
“Flag & Anthem is an awesome brand with great style, great fit,and great pricing. It is a favorite at Mountain High Outfitters”
-Brandy Linton Odom, Buyer – Mountain High Outfitters
The customer might come in looking for a vacation shirt and leave with the shirt they end up wearing three days a week.
What are you bringing to Surf Expo?
CEO: A little bit of everything.
We’ll be showcasing our latest Men’s, Women’s, Performance, and Collegiate collections, from everyday staples to technical styles with features like stretch and lightweight comfort, alongside breezy styles featuring your favorite college teams.
Think easygoing style with enough performance to keep up.

Who wears Flag & Anthem?
CEO: People who care about comfort, but they also care about style. They want performance features, but they don’t necessarily want to look like they’re headed to the gym.
They’re travelers, weekenders, sports fans, outdoor enthusiasts, surfers, golfers, music lovers—and people who simply want their clothes to keep up with them.
In other words, they’re not one thing. And neither are we.
What’s the big picture?
CEO: We’ve spent nearly a decade building Flag & Anthem into a brand that can show up wherever our customers do.
We’ve worked with athletes, musicians, creators, and some pretty recognizable names along the way. But at the end of the day, we’re building something bigger than a list of ambassadors or a single category.
We’re building clothes for the life happening in between.
