Finalists for the ninth annual Outdoor Retailer Inspiration Awards presented by adidas Outdoor were announced by Outdoor Retailer. The awards recognize those that inspire and encourage others to enjoy, participate in and support outdoor recreation, and three finalists in each of five categories were selected by the panel of judges. Winners will be revealed in a live ceremony on Tuesday, June 18, on the first night of Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Denver, Colorado.
“The finalists for the Outdoor Retailer Inspiration Awards are taking the lead and motivating others to enjoy and protect the outdoors,” said Marisa Nicholson, Outdoor Retailer vice president and show director. “The judges narrowed down a long list of incredibly inspiring people, brands and organizations to a group whose passions are evident in their programs and platforms. We are excited to celebrate them all and see the winners announced at Summer Market.”
Winners, as determined by the judging panel, will be recognized in five categories: individual, manufacturer, retailer, nonprofit organization and youth. The lifetime achievement award will also be presented during the ceremony.

The live awards ceremony will be held at the Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center following Day 1 of Summer Market. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the show beginning at 6:30 p.m. The event, open to registered attendees and media, will be co-hosted by Alex Boylan, co-founder and acting partner of DreamJobbing.com, and Christian Murphy, Head of Enthusiast Brands at A+E Networks..
Outdoor industry and event veteran Liz Ferrin returns to work with Outdoor Retailer to produce the awards. Ferrin has also facilitated the production of Outdoor Retailer’s Innovation Awards and Sundance Film Festival activation, among other programs.

Outdoor Retailer Summer Market is back in Denver to launch the summer outdoor season.
